Step1
Consult with your physician before starting any exercise program. Your physician can help determine if a particular piece of exercise equipment, such as the Bowflex Revolution, is appropriate for your needs.
Step2
Read the manuals that accompany your Bowflex Revolution. The manuals provide instructions for maintenance of your equipment, as well as instructions about how to use a Bowflex Revolution.
Step3
Watch the Bowflex Revolution "Revolutionary Workout" videos, available from the Bowflex Revolution website, or use the optional Bowflex iTrainer software to monitor your workouts.
Step4
Set the resistance on your Bowflex Revolution to an appropriate level. You can have up to 300 lbs. of resistance with the optional Bowflex Revolution SpiraFlex Resistance Plate Upgrade.
Step5
Start out with slow and easy exercises. It is easy to become overeager when you first start to use a Bowflex Revolution, and you're much better off building up your strength and stamina over time.
