The American Association for Retired Persons (AARP), a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, provides services and advocacy for people 50 and over. One prime benefit comes from member insurance through affiliated insurance companies. The organization doesn't provide the insurance but contracts with other major insurers to offer discounts for its members. It's easy finding all the information you need to make a decision.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • AARP membership

Step1
Go to the AARP website to join the organization. All member benefits including insurance coverage apply only for those 50 years of age or older.
Step2
Choose the type of insurance you need from the list and click the name. Note the available phone number for the particular type of insurance for specific questions.
Step3
Read the overview of the insurance plan details.
Step4
Select your state of residence, enter zip code and date of birth. This applies to several of the insurance programs for price quotes.
Step5

Step6
Press "Request Free Information" or "Get an Estimate Online" for other insurance programs. Follow the instructions for price quotes and additional information.
Step7
Fill out the form and submit.
