Airsoft is one of the fastest growing weekend warrior activities for good reason. Part of the thrill is working with a team of buddies you know in order combat your Airsoft enemies. Getting a team together is not hard but does take some knowledge so that you start your Airsoft team on the right foot.

1
Get yourself geared up with a decent Airsoft gun and then find a field near you so that you can get the basics down for yourself. Check out Airsoft Finder for a directory of retailers and regional Airsoft teams so you know where to start out. As you gain experience, you can switch to starting your team.
-
2
Look first in places you know to find team members since it is easiest and most fun to start a team that's made up of friends or colleagues. If you want to stay away from work people, simply start up a blog or even a website at WetPaint so you can upload photos and direct people to your Airsoft team's "digital command center" in order to recruit new members.

3
Set your team's first training day even if you don't have the number of people that you ideally want. Run shooting trials and training exercises so you can begin to determine your Airsoft team members' skills. After your first training, make sure to go out for a drink or some food so that your team starts to form a bond that it wants to share with others.
-
4
Schedule your first competitive operation for two weeks after your first training exercise so that your team has enough experience to compete but doesn't get bored running training exercise after training exercise.
-
5
Take photos of as many exercises and ops as you can so you can continue promoting your Airsoft team through your blog or website. Get other team members to contribute to the site so you can recruit new members.
