How to Add Friendster Widgets

A widget is a component or application computer program specific to one function or type of information. It allows user interaction and customization of the data display. You've also heard them called graphical user interfaces, or GUIs. Widgets are individual building blocks that you can mix and match to customize a Friendster site to your visual taste and informational requirements.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Log in to the Friendster social networking site via their home page (see Resources below).
2. Click on the button labeled "Add Apps to Your Profile" to bring up the Friendster applications page.
3. Browse the list of random widgets and applications listed with icons down the left side of the page. Another option is to select a specific category or application and widget from the list on the right side of the page. Friendster lets you choose from the following: Slideshows and Photos, Just For Fun, Entertainment, Games, News and Information, Sports, TV Shows, Video and Music.
4. Search for a specific widget among all the applications and widgets available for addition to your Friendster profile. Enter the widget you want into the box provided toward the top right side of the page and press the "Search Apps" button.
5. Select a widget to add to your Friendster profile. Click on the description of the widget.
6. Wait for the widget to display on the screen with an accompanying icon.
7. Click on the "Add to Profile" button below the icon to add the widget to your Friendster profile.
