How to Find Great Free Computer Programs

Many people buy new computer programs, but great free programs exist in every category. You can download free programs for games, word processing and other office duties. Check the Internet to see if the programs you are interested in are free.

Instructions

1. Go to the website Pogo for free game programs. They have over 100 free popular games that you can download and play whenever you want (see Resources below).

2. Select Freeware Home for many free programs on the Internet. All of these programs are free, so just download and use them. They add new programs constantly so check back often for the new additions (see Resources below).

3. Choose Microsoft for free programs directly from Microsoft. Many program enhancements exist, as well as utility programs, so check this site often.

4. Use the free add-on programs from Mozilla. Mozilla add-ons work with Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers and run the gamut from photo utilities helpers to download accelerators. Look at their complete line of add-ons and check back for new additions often (see Resources below).

5. Get word processing programs at OpenOffice.org. These programs are completely free and work with Microsoft Office Excel and Word programs. Download your copy today (see Resources below).
