Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Bring a book to read while you are waiting. If you are with your children, they may want you in the fitting room with them.

  2. Step 2

Look for clothing for yourself. If you are with your children for back to school shopping, while they are changing look at clothing for yourself. It's always nice to treat yourself to something when you are shopping with others and it certainly saves you from being bored.

  3. Step 3

Make a list of things you need. Just because you are shopping with others, there isn't any need for you not to shop for yourself too. Just let the other person go their way and you go yours. If you are there to help others make selections, let them know where you are so they can come and get your opinion when they are ready.

  4. Step 4

Watch TV. You can always wander into the department with TV sets and watch what is on while you are waiting for your companion. This way you may get to see the game that you thought you might miss while out shopping with others.

  5. Step 5

Window shop while you are waiting. Bring a pen and pencil and write down the things you would like to have but can't afford now. There is always something to put on the list.

  6. Step 6

Take a break for lunch. This makes the job of shopping less boring and gives you a chance to regroup.
