Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Measure the area that will display the pictures. You should also know what size frames you will be likely to use. If you like using large, heavy frames, this method might not work as well.
Step2
Get a piece of thin sheet metal. Cut the metal to fit the size you measured for the pictures.
Step3
Prep the metal for painting by cleaning it gently with vinegar. Allow the sheet to dry and then paint it. The paint color should be the exact color of your wall to allow it to blend in. Paint it with as many coats as it needs to keep the color consistent and none of the original color of the metal shows through. Allow the paint to dry.
Step4
Hang the sheet metal on the wall in the area where you want to mount your family pictures.
Step5
Attach flat magnets to the back of all of the frames you intend to hang. Heavier frames will require more magnets. The frames can then be stuck directly onto the sheet metal. Whenever it's time to change the arrangement of the pictures, simply pull the frames away from the metal and move them to a new position.
