Things You’ll Need:
- Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional
- Microphone (if recording own sound file)
Step1
Start Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and open an existing PDF from your files to which you would like to attach a sound file.
Step2
Choose the "Tools" menu, point to "Comment & Markup" and click "Record Audio Comment." Your mouse cursor will now be in the shape of a sound icon.
Step3
Place your cursor on the area of the PDF document where you would like to attach the sound file. Once you click on that area, the "Sound Recorder" dialog box will open.
Step4
Record your own sound file by using the red "Record" button to record the sound and the black "Stop" button to stop the recording when you are finished.
Step5
Attach an existing sound file to your PDF document by clicking the "Browse" button to open the "Select Sound File" dialog box. Browse to locate the sound file from your folders and click the "Select" button once the file is selected.
Step6
Click the "OK" button in the "Sound Recorder" dialog box. The "Sound Attachment Properties" dialog box will open. Choose the type of icon you would like to display for the sound file in the "Icon" text box. Click the "Color" color well and choose a color for the icon to appear in. You can also use the "Opacity" text box or slider to change the opacity of the chosen color and icon.
Step7
Use the "OK" button to close the "Sound Attachment Properties" dialog box and return to your PDF document. The sound file will now be attached to your PDF.
