Model Beauty Pageant Evening Gowns

Model beauty pageant evening gowns easily and comfortably to win the competition. Get some practice modeling by attending conferences to teach you make up, talents and interaction. Training and practice are key aspects in modeling your beauty pageant evening gowns.

Instructions

    • 1

Get ready to go on stage to model beauty pageant evening gowns. Put one foot in front of your other foot. Move forward and take a small step to a medium sized step.

    • 2

Keep your back straight, your shoulders back and your head up. Always smile on the stage or runway.

    • 3

Pivot on the balls of your feet when you reach the end of the stage or runway. Turn with your head last and then pause for three seconds. Pivot and turn again to show off your evening gown.

    • 4

Turn your head from side to side while smiling at the audience and especially the judges when you model in a beauty pageant.

    • 5

Take one last pivot and turn to walk off the stage or runway. Keep your head facing the audience or judges.

    • 6

Smile and look at the audience and judges the entire time you are walking off the stage or runway.

Tips & Warnings

  • Turn in a small circle instead of pivoting when your dress has a train. This prevents you from stepping on your train when turning.

  • Practice modeling your beauty pageant evening gowns in front of a full length mirror. View and adjust your posture and step size to flow comfortably while on stage.

IDK why the other rater gave you only 1 star...I gave you 5 (10, actually). I really needed this information when I started pageantry last year. Step 3 about turning is very important. Very good. I had no idea how to turn when I started pageantry. And I had a super hard time with eye contact and connecting with the judges. So kudos on mentioning to remain eye contact. You might want to edit step 4 a little, though, because turning your head side to side is a little confusing...you may want to say "scan the judges left to right, then the audience right to left, then the judges again left to right." Your tips are absolutely perfect. And one very last thing that I always tell beginners is to always remain on stage until they finishing announcing you (they usually say your name one last time). I have done prelims and advanced to (and won) national pageants, so I can back you up. Again,
