Many people need to get used to wearing a watch before they are comfortable with it. Some people always need to know the time, but they feel wearing a watch is a hassle, so they never wear one. However, wearing a watch saves you time and embarrassment. If you don't wear one you constantly have to ask someone the time and you may be late.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Go shopping for a watch. There are hundreds of watches on the market from cheap to expensive ones. Find one that appeals to you.
Step2
Try on the watch to see if it feels comfortable on your arm. You don't want it too tight or too loose, there should be some give but it shouldn't be able to turn around on your wrist.
Step3
Select the watch and start to wear it. You don't have to wear the watch the way most people do with the face looking at you. You can wear it with the face towards the floor. Many people prefer this method. Decide which you are most comfortable with and wear it that way.
Step4
Continue to wear the watch until you feel comfortable with it. This may take a few days or it could be longer. If it is a waterproof watch you don't even have to take it off for a shower or a bath, which is good. The more you wear it the more comfortable you will feel with it.
Step5
Find a watch you can wear in a nontraditional manner. Some people just don't like anything on their arms. You can find a watch to wear as a necklace or a ring watch. You still have to get used to wearing it, but this may be an alternative to the traditional wrist-watch. Pocket watches are another alternative.
