How to Get a Rocker Guy to Like One When One is a Prep

It's not just rocker girls that go for rocker guys. You may be head over heels for that sexy rocker guy down the hall, but you're worried your cute, preppy style may just not interest him. Think again. There's plenty you can do to get him dancing to your tune. Here's how.

1. Get to know his music. Obviously his music is a big part of his identity and lifestyle, so you'll need to known something about it to be able to connect. Ask him about the bands he likes, or get clues in more indirect ways, like the band t-shirts he wears, and then listen to and read up on those bands. And of course a great idea for a date would be to go to a concert together.

2. Show that you're different. Rebellion is a big part of rock, so the ordinary is not attractive to a guy like him. That doesn't mean you need to start dressing differently or change in superficial ways. Maybe you're interested in something that he'll find interesting because it's quite different.

3. Use sexy body language. Sex and rock and roll go hand in hand. Show him that you're not just some buttoned-down preppy girl but rather a smoldering cauldron of sexuality. Dress a little more revealingly when you know you'll be together, lean in close, and give him a long, hungry look in the eyes.

4. Bond through other interests. You're not just rockers and preps, after all. You're human beings with a wide variety of interests. Just because you don't have a particular style in common doesn't mean that you don't have a lot going on together. Explore his other interests, whether it's sports or literature.

5. Try something desperate. If all else fails, you could always do something very bad, like telling off your teacher in class. Sure, it may earn you an extended period of detention, but that's a small price to pay for his attention.
