How to Make a Canine Casserole

Casseroles are easy and delicious, and they aren't just for people. Your best friend will be delighted if you make him his own special canine casserole just for dogs. Mix up a batch of nutritious canine casserole and watch his tail wag with joy.

Things You’ll Need:

• Extra-virgin olive oil
• Sesame oil
• 1 potato
• Garlic, minced
• 3 to 4 mushrooms, quartered and sliced
• 2 oz. whole grain white rice, cooked
• 2 oz. canned sweet corn
• 2 oz. cooked string beans or broccoli
• 3 oz. cooked chicken
• 2 tbsp. plain yogurt

1. Place the chicken on a cutting board and cut it into small chunks. Set aside.
2. Peel the potato and cut it into small pieces. Heat the extra virgin olive oil and sesame oil in a frying pan and saute the potatoes and minced garlic until they're soft and translucent.
3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms, followed by the sweet corn, string beans or broccoli, and cooked rice.
4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the chicken.
5. Continue to stir the mixture for 2 to 3 more minutes. Stir in the plain yogurt and cook it, stirring constantly, for 1 more minute.
6. Remove the canine casserole from the heat and put the lid on. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes, stirring after every minute or so.
7. Let the canine casserole cool completely before serving it to your dog.

• Canine casserole can be made with any type of meat, including ground beef, stew meat, lamb or venison.
