Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 lb. butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • Paper muffin cups
  • Prepared batch of orange frosting
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Strawberry syrup
  • Licorice string, candy corn, or other candies
  1. Step 1

Place the softened butter in a large mixing bowl. Turn the speed on medium high and whip the butter until it's fluffy.

  2. Step 2

Mix in the pure vanilla extract and sugar, blending until they're incorporated into the butter. Add one egg at a time, mixing thoroughly after each one.

  3. Step 3

Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into a separate bowl. Turn the mixer to low and add about half of the dry ingredients to the butter mixture.

  4. Step 4

Pour in half of the evaporated milk as you continue to mix. Add the remaining flour, followed by the remaining evaporated milk.

  5. Step 5

Line a muffin tin with paper muffin cups, and pour batter in each cup, filling it about three quarters full. Bake the cupcakes for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow the cupcakes to cook before removing them from the pan.

  6. Step 6

Frost each cupcake with orange frosting.

  7. Step 7

Use chocolate and strawberry syrup and various candies to create pumpkin faces, ghosts, cobwebs, or any creepy thing you like on the creepy cupcakes.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you can't find orange frosting simply add a few drops of orange food coloring to a can of white frosting.
