Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Invite your friend to accompany you on an activity that you love. You can't expect her to feel as strongly about it as you do but a true friend will show interest and enjoy doing something that makes you happy. Do the same thing for your friend; take the time to share her passions with her.
Step2
Expect honesty. There are times when you will do something wrong and your best friend will be there to alert you to your mistake before others discover it. Accept her comments, knowing she has your best interest at heart.
Step3
Ask for forgiveness from a best friend and receive it if you've done something that hurt her feelings. Although you should hold yourself to a high standard of behavior, a true friend will accept that you made a mistake and forgive you as long as you don't make a habit of bad behavior.
Step4
Vent your frustrations and expect your friend to listen and offer advice. Being a friend means supporting each other in good times and in tough times.
Step5
Communicate with confidentiality. Best friends share thoughts, dreams and goals with each other that they would not want the rest of the world to know. Both you and your friend should respect the bond of confidentiality and not discuss secrets with others.
Step6
Spend time together but allow one another personal space. A best friend will want to be with you, just not all the time.
