How to Find Out What to Get Your Father for Christmas

You'd like to get all your shopping done but you don't know what to get your dad for Christmas. You want to get him the perfect gift instead of little things that he pretends to like but doesn't really need.

1. Ask your father what he wants. You might as well get a gift he wants or needs and the best way to do that is to ask him outright. Ask him a few months before Christmas so he forgets all about it if you want him to be surprised.

2. Look in his closet and see if he needs any new clothes. See if his shirts or pants are worn out. Look in his drawers and see if his socks have holes.

3. Talk to your mother and ask her to find out what your dad needs or wants. Ask her to keep it a secret.

4. Tell your father to circle all the things he likes in his favorite catalog or magazine. You can take these items as your starting point when looking for a gift. Even if he picks something you can't afford, just find something similar or something that goes with the item.
