1
Play the homework game in school at homeworkopoly.com. This game rewards kids who do their homework by allowing them to participate the next day in the game at school.
-
2
Make homework a game at home by giving rewards for the homework your child performs. For example, if they get their homework done by a certain time they get a reward, such as an extra cookie or a half hour extra television or computer game time.
-
3
Invite your children's friends to come to your house for homework parties. Get out the books and hit the homework. Serve a wholesome snack or let the other kids stay for dinner.
-
4
Supervise the "party" to make sure the kids are getting the work done. If they do not get homework done they can't have another party, however, if they do, then another party is scheduled--network with other parents to take turns hosting the homework parties.
-
5
Quiz your children on their homework. Make question and answer cards, and read the questions to the kids. Whoever gets it right gets a point. The most points win the game. Determine a small prize for the winner.

Try the quiz game even if your child is alone. This time, your child gets a point for every question they get correct. Play over many days until your child reaches a goal number of points. For example, 10 points is worth a new music CD, 20 points is worth a new computer game, 100 points is worth something very special your child wants.
