Dinosaur heads are cool ways of entertaining yourself and children, and it's simple enough to make them pretty much any time you like. Only a few simple items and you're ready for a craft and playtime. Include playmates and you'll make it a party.
Make a "cootie catcher," which is the paper device used to play the game MASH. If none of this sounds familiar, just visit Kiddie Crafts website to find out how.
2
Glue one of the sides to another. It doesn't matter which one, but do a thorough job so that the pieces don't spread apart across the top when it's dried.
3
Make a head shape by gluing the pieces opposite where you just glued. This should leave you with a head-shaped paper item with a mouth. All you need do is insert four fingers and spread the two sections to open the mouth.
4
Fix the eyes in place. Glue these close to the top near where the fingers are inserted.
5
Draw features lightly, so that they won't show when you color over them. If you're trying for a plant eating dinosaur, don't draw teeth.
6
Color the features. Don't forget that dinosaurs may have had a variety of colors, similar to the plumage on birds.
Tips & Warnings
Any time you use glue, try not to inhale any fumes. White glue is the best for this kind of project and most are non-toxic (check the label).
