How to Play Cosmic Catch

Cosmic Catch is becoming a fun game for people of all ages with its "brainteasing" style of catch. It involves a ball that electronically senses the colored wristbands the players wear, and the players must toss the ball to the correct players.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Beginning

1. Insert four AAA batteries into the Cosmic Catch ball. The electronic ball won't work without them.
2. Give one of the six wristbands to each of the players in the game. If fewer than six people are playing, place the extra bands out of play.
3. Press the ball's button to start. Wait for the ball to say "Players sign in, pass the ball to each player."
4. Hold the ball in your hand until it announces your color, then pass it to each of the other players. When everyone has touched it, have them give it back to you. The ball will announce all the colors in the game.
5. Select the type of game you want to play when the ball says "Select Game." Press the button once for "Fast Pass," twice for "Code Challenge," three times for "Add One" and four for "You're Out."

The Games

6. Toss the ball to the player wearing the color the ball calls in "Fast Pass." The pace will quicken as the game continues. If you pass the ball to the wrong person or take too long to pass, the game ends.
7. Discover the ball's three-color code in "Code Challenge." Start with the first player holding the ball and pass it to another. If it's the wrong player, you'll hear an explosion and start over. If the three correct colors touch it in order, you win.
8. Create your own passing sequence in "Add One." Pass the ball to one player, get the ball back, then pass it to the same player and add another one. Continue adding players to the sequence.
9. Play an elimination game with "You're Out." Toss the ball to the colors it announces within its time limit. A player throwing the ball is eliminated when time runs out; a thrower is out if he throws to the wrong color.
