How to Make Wobbler Plug Fishing Lures
The term wobbler plug refers to a type of fishing lure. They're made of wood or plastic and they're hollow. Plugs are used for large fish and range from one inch to eight inches. The reason they're called wobbler plugs is because the plug swims from side to side.

1
Cut out the head. The plugs are cut at a 45-degree angle and most of them have a groove cut in the head. Use a rotary file and a drill press to carve out the plug.

2
Add eye screws. The eye screws will hold the treble hooks. Put the screws evenly spaced across the bottom of the plug. Use a small awl or an ice pick to make four holes in the plug so the screws will go in easier. Push the screws into the hole. Use pliers to pull them through if you have trouble pushing them in. The screw that goes in the head of the plug is where the fish line is tied and the other screws will hold the hooks.

Attach the treble hooks. Place a cup washer or a small disc over the screw end of the eye screw to give the hook a more professional look before you screw it into the plug. To keep your hooks from coming off, you can use a metal saddle. The saddle has two holes that can be screwed to the plug to keep the hook firmly in place.
