Having the ability to pick and choose the colors a piece of software uses for the windows and other tasks that it performs, Trillian gives you those types of control over the display. You can cater the displayed colors to match your desktop color scheme or to something very different, so that it catches your attention. For text conversations, you can control the foreground and background colors.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Open Trillian. Go to the top bar and select File. Scroll down the drop down menu until you find "Trillian Preferences." Click on this choice. The Trillian Preferences window gives you the ability to control your identity, sounds that you will hear and colors that appear. It also lets you define new connections such as ICQ, AOL, Yahoo! and MSN.
Step2
Click on the "Text Conversation" option. This allows you to select many of the attributes of how you will view your text chats with people. You can change the color of the actual text that is printed on your screen and you can change the background that the text appears upon.
Step3
Select the button labeled "Choose Text Color." This will pop open a window that will allow you to choose the color of the text in your conversations from a palette of colors. Another name for this feature is the foreground color. The next button "Choose Background Color" will modify the color of the background of the text. This will also pop up a palette of colors for you to choose the background color of the text messages that appear in your chat conversations.
