How to Dominate Fifth Grade

Let's face it, fifth grade is the gateway to junior high school, which is the road to high school, which determines college and the rest of your life. So, being able to totally rule and dominate one of your final years of elementary school is not just a matter of having fun, but a way to set yourself up for lifelong success.

Instructions

1. Keep your grades at the top of your class in at least two subjects since this will buy you some slack with your teachers. Focus on turning in really good homework and doing well on tests so you don't have to brown-nose your teachers (and lose some street cred from your friends). This way, you'll get away with jokes, pranks and other things that will let you rule your elementary school.

2. Get a girlfriend or boyfriend to make yourself the focus of everyone in the entire school, and the envy of everyone in your class. If getting a girlfriend or boyfriend doesn't seem to be happening on its own, pick out a popular girl or guy and talk to him or her about making an "alliance" that will get both of you popularity and new level of cool.

3. Excel at a sport or outside activity that other kids look up to but don't engage in. Alternative sports like skateboarding are a good place to look, if you want to totally rule. If everyone is skating, or doing something like skateboarding, then check out photography, starting a band or racing go-karts as an alternative way to dominate your fifth-grade class.

4. Make friends with some older kids, preferably ones who are also into your newfound after school activity. Just being seen with kids from sixth or seventh grade will help you dominate fifth grade and get you out of the elementary school mode and into junior high social circles.

5. Organize group trips with your friends to the mall or any other place you can get to. The important thing is that you do the organizing. If you can pull it off, throw a party at your house.

6. Start a secret club and let only your closest friends in. Keep everything really secret like the famous Skull and Bones society of Yale University and you'll automatically dominate your entire elementary school.
