How to Create a Successful Mage in Tibia

Tibia is one of the oldest MMORPGs. It was released in 1997, and has maintained a devoted following for more than a decade. The Mage classes, including sorcerers and druids, are especially enjoyable classes. Just about anyone can create a successful Mage in Tibia.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Create your character in Tibia. One of the things that makes Tibia unique is the fact that you don't choose your character's class (known as "destiny" in Tibia) until you reach the 8th level. The choices you make during character creation are not as significant as the choices you make later on.
2. Choose between the two Mage classes: druids and sorcerers. Druids have access to healing spells and focus on defense. Sorcerers have more spells that are offensive and are able to take out entire armies at once. Once you choose your destiny, Tibia gives you a new home city.
3. Find the local magic shop located your new home city. Each new Mage is entitled to a gift from the Magic High Council. If you are a sorcerer, ask the merchant for a wand. If you are a druid, ask for a staff.
4. Purchase spells as soon as you can. To create a successful Mage in Tibia, you have to have access to as many spells as you can.

Tips & Warnings

• Consider purchasing a premium Tibia account. While you certainly can play Tibia for free and have an enjoyable time with it, the handful of powerful spells premium accounts receive make it much easier to create a successful mage in Tibia.
• Spells are not always located in the magic shops. In some towns you need to locate a spell merchant instead.
