Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be obsessive. When Tony was younger, he would do anything in his power to accomplish what he set his mind to and try to perfect it. Skating started after he failed at a perfecting a few sports. Realizing quickly that he was not bad, he dedicated all his time to skateboarding.

  2. Step 2

Eat, dream and live skateboarding. Never go anywhere you don't have wheels under your feet and hang out with other like-minded kids who will challenge you and teach you new tricks.

  3. Step 3

Create new moves for everyone to copy like the Madonna, Stalefish and McHawk. Then set world records with your new moves to become the top professional skateboarder in the world.

  4. Step 4

Enter every skateboard competition you can find, including the XGames. Practice before each competition for hours each day until you can land the moves with your eyes closed.

  5. Step 5

Learn all you can and take risks, while practicing the sport in a safe manner. Also help skaters younger than you are to be better skaters so you can be a role model to them. This includes staying out of trouble and helping project a positive image so you can help dispel so many often-held public beliefs that skaters are thugs. Tony Hawk has never been perceived as a thug.
