Things You'll Need:
- Rhinestones
- Picture frame
- Glitter glue
- School glue in a bottle
- Alcohol
- Tweezers
-
Step 1
Find a frame that is wide enough to add small glass rhinestones. This frame should be at least a 1/4inch thick to give you enough room for the glue and the stones.
-
Step 2
Collect rhinestones to match the color of the frame or use colors that can pick up the colors and tones in the pictures. If you are making a frame for a wedding, consider using white or blue stones or the wedding colors. Party frames might display red and gold rhinestones. You could also make sparkly picture frames in your school colors.
-
Step 3
Clean the frame with alcohol to rid it of any dust and plastic that could undermine the glue. Make sure that the frame is dry and dirt-free before you begin.
-
Step 4
Place a drop of glue on the spots where you want to place the rhinestones. If desired, you can use glitter glue, which adds another dimension to your decorations. Use a bottle of glue with a small tip for easy application.
-
Step 5
Put the picture inside the frame before adding the stones so that you don't knock them off when opening the back of the frame. Drop the jewel on top of the glued portion of the frame and press down. Let the glue dry before picking up the frame.
