Step 1
Pick out your stamp, preferably one that lends itself well to multiple colors. Think of a flower, for instance. The top part of the flower could be red, while the stem and leaves could be green.
-
Step 2
Choose your marker colors. For a cool twist, try using several different shades of the same color to create a three-dimensional effect. If you're coloring in the flower portion of the stamp, consider coloring the edges of the flower a slightly darker shade of red to add depth.
-
Step 3
Begin with the lighter color first. To avoid ink bleeding, color in the lightest portion of your stamp, and then work your way to the darkest. This procedure ensures a clean result.
-
Step 4
Keep the stamp moist. In the time that it takes to color in your stamp, you may notice that your first color has already begun to dry. To reactivate the ink, simply put it close to your mouth and huff a bit of moist air to dampen the stamp.
