Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Pick a length for your monkey puppet's tail. If you want your sock monkey puppet's tail to be super long, you can use both sides of the tube portion of the sock to make the tail. Just sew the two tubes together horizontally.

  2. Step 2

Use the sock from which you cut the sock monkey puppet's snout to make the tail. Cut straight from the heel portion down to the toe of the sock. If you want your tail to be perfectly even, you can use a ruler and a fabric pen to draw a guideline from the heel to the toe.

  3. Step 3

Cut through both layers of sock fabric one at a time to make sure your tail comes out perfectly even.

  4. Step 4

Make sewing the sock monkey puppet's tail a bit easier by trimming any raggedy bits off the tail portion.
