Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Measure to determine the center of your window valance and the valance board. Mark the centers with a pencil so you can line them up precisely.

  2. Step 2

Place the center of the window valance in the center of the top edge of the valance board.

  3. Step 3

Staple the top and the bottom of the valance board to secure the valance.

  4. Step 4

Smooth the fabric down the board and continue stapling. Make sure the top of the window valance is at the top of the valance board so that the bottom of your window valance is even.

  5. Step 5

Return to the center and smooth the fabric in the other direction, and then staple it into position. Use plenty of staples to secure the top and the bottom of the valance board so your final product doesn't sag.
