Things You'll Need:
- Valance board
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Staple gun
-
Step 1
Lay your fabric out on a large work surface. Place the valance board on top of the fabric. Position the board so that the pattern lines up perfectly with your window valance.
-
Step 2
Cut the fabric to fully cover the board. Use a good pair of pinking shears to get a clean line at the edge of your fabric.
-
Step 3
Fold the fabric over the valance board so the edges are on the side of the board that goes up against the window valance. This way, they won't show.
-
Step 4
Pull the fabric taunt and staple it in place. Apply even pressure when pulling the fabric and make sure you're not pulling the pattern to one side or the other.
