How to Serve Tandoori Fish

If you would like to serve a different kind of fish dinner at your next party, consider tandoori fish, an Indian specialty. Consisting of a filet of fish spiced with coriander, cumin, ginger, chili powder, paprika and garlic, this dish is sure to bring some international flair to your table.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tandoori fish
  • Seasoned mashed potatoes
  • Julienned leeks
  • Lemon wedge
  • Naan (optional)
  • Chutney (optional)
  1. Step 1

    Remove the tandoori fish from the oven when it appears golden brown and cooked all the way through. The fish will usually cook in about 6 minutes, depending on the size of the servings. Follow your recipe for cooking time.

  2. Step 2

    Place a serving of seasoned mashed potatoes in the center of a dinner plate. Set a piece of fish on top of the potatoes.

  3. Step 3

    Make the dish more festive by placing some julienned leeks on top of the fish. Garnish the plate with a wedge of freshly cut lemon.

  4. Step 4

    Add a side of warm Indian bread (naan) and a small dish of chutney for dipping. Serve the tandoori fish while hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use many different kinds of fish to make tandoori fish. Good choices include red snapper, trout, swordfish and salmon.
  • For a lower carb version of tandoori fish, serve the tandoori fish on a bed of roasted vegetables instead of mashed potatoes.
