How to Bake Curry Phyllo Triangles

Curry phyllo triangles are an elegant, mouth-watering addition to a special meal. Moreover, they are well worth the extra time you have to put into the preparation. Use freshly made or prepared frozen curry phyllo triangles in this process and take yourself and your guests to the next level of food enjoyment.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Butter
  • Cookie sheet
  • Olive oil
  • Prepared phyllo triangles
  • Cheese or green onions
  1. Step 1

    Lay prepared phyllo triangles on an oiled or buttered cookie sheet. Leave room between each triangle for it to expand during cooking. Brush the tops of the triangles with olive oil or butter.

  2. Step 2

    Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F. Place the cookie sheet on the top rack to bake for 10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Take your tongs and flip the phyllo triangles over to see if they have browned. If not, place them back in the oven for another couple of minutes, until the tops begin to brown.

  4. Step 4

    Place the curry phyllo triangles back in oven for another 5 minutes to brown on the other side.

  5. Step 5

    Garnish as desired with cheese or green onions, after they are done baking.

Tips & Warnings
  • These are great with a meal, as a hearty and even the next day as leftovers.
  • Butter gives a better overall browning than olive oil.
  • Phyllo triangles can be prepared and frozen up to 2 weeks ahead of time.
  • Do not brush on butter or oil until ready to put in the oven.
  • Do not try to bake on one side only. You would end up with a very brown underside and a whitish topside.
