Things You'll Need:
- Deep silver eye shadow
- Wide shadow brush
-
Step 1
Apply color only once you have applied an iridescent base to your entire lid, from lashes to brow. Your base color should be a light, neutral color such as champagne or beige which will not overpower your final color. Additionally, adding an eyeshadow primer first will ensure that your dramatic look lasts all evening long.
-
Step 2
Choose a deep silver shadow for a particularly dramatic look, lightening the eyelid and adding depth to your eyes. Be careful not to use charcoal, which often appears the same on your palate, but goes on much darker. If you like, you can even choose a silver shadow with glitter to add a stunning spark.
-
Step 3
Use a wide shadow brush to apply your silver shadow. Add only a small amount of powder to the brush at a time to prevent powder falling on the lashes, cheeks or even your clothing. Apply more as necessary.
-
Step 4
Cover your entire using a dabbing motion to work the powder into the skin, applying the color from corner to outer lid; however, do not apply your shadow color any higher than the lid crease. When your lid is finished, apply a light dusting of silver to the lower eye, just under the lashes to top off your dramatic look.
