Things You'll Need:
- Darker shade of eye shadow
- Small, fluffy brush
-
Step 1
Choose the color you want. The eye shadow crease color should be darker than your base and main eye shadow color. Many people use the same eye shadow for both the crease and the eyeliner, but use slightly different applications to make the eyeliner appear more dramatic.
-
Step 2
Pick the right brush. To get into the crease of the eye, you need to use a small, fluffy brush that can fit into the narrow space. Dip the brush end into the eye shadow color of your choice, then tap the excess off. You may have to practice with the brush a few times to perfect the application.
-
Step 3
Start on the outer edge of the eye and apply color from the lash line all the way up to the crease of the eye. You want to apply the darker shade only to the outer half of the eyelid, so steer clear of the inside of the eyelid. Keep layering on the color until you reach the desired shade.

Step 4
Brush away an excess eye shadow that has fallen underneath the eye or on the cheekbones.
