Things You'll Need:
- Mineral eye shadow
- Application brushes
-
Step 1
Apply a base eye shadow color. Using either a dry or wet application, sweep a base color over the entire lid from brow bone to lashes. This helps even out your skin color and sets up a good foundation for your other colors.
-
Step 2
Choose your eye shadow color. There are so many different colors of mineral makeup to choose from, you're limited only by your imagination. You can choose neutrals like browns and grays, or you can match your eye shadow to your outfit or eye color. Experiment to find the look that works best for you.
-
Step 3
Use a small brush. A smaller brush allows you to pinpoint certain areas of the eye, which is crucial to getting a professional look.
-
Step 4
Pick up a tiny bit of eye shadow. Dark colors go a long way, so lightly dip the brush into the mineral makeup and tap off any excess before applying. You may have to practice a few times before you figure out just how much eye shadow you need on your brush to do each eye.
-
Step 5
Stipple on the color lightly, adding color from the lash line all the way to the crease of the eye. Lightly press the brush onto the surface of the eyelid to transfer the color.
