Things You'll Need:
- Dark mineral eye shadow
- Makeup palate
- Angled shadow brush
-
Step 1
Keep your makeup looking fresh and natural by using a dark mineral eye shadow instead of a traditional pencil or liquid eyeliner. Not only will the powder help to soften your look, it can also be added to a bit of water for easy application.
-
Step 2
Place a small amount of dark mineral eye shadow powder into a makeup palate. You can use small paint trays, available at your local craft store, or palates especially made for makeup, which are found in major department stores. Add water one drop at a time to create a thick, even paste. Remember, for eyeliner you need very little product, so less is more.
-
Step 3
Dip an angled shadow brush into your eyeliner and start at the outer corner of the eye. For a natural look, keep the line as close to the lashes as possible along the entire length of the lid. For a more dramatic look, extend the line past the end of your outer lid slightly, turning the line up at an angle. As you continue the line along the lid, reduce its thickness.
-
Step 4
Work your mineral powder eyeliner all the way to the inner corner of the eye to finish your natural makeup look. Make sure that you keep your eyes closed for a minute until the liner dries to prevent marking your upper eyelid.
