Things You'll Need:
- Large powder brush
- Finishing powder
-
Step 1
Use finishing powder once you have applied foundation primer, foundation powder and blush to your clean face. Finishing powder works in a variety of ways--for example, it will help to close pores and smooth your look. Additionally, finishing powder can help to lighten blush that was applied too heavily, and finally, it will seal your makeup to keep it looking fresh all day long.
-
Step 2
Dip a large powder brush lightly into your fine finishing powder. Make sure that you tap the brush on the edge of the powder container to remove any excess. Again, a little goes a long way, so start with a little and add more as needed.
-
Step 3
Begin by dabbing the brush onto areas that need blending. Finishing powder is translucent; however, it will help to blend your makeup. If your blush is too strong or you notice a fine line where you applied foundation, now is the time to fix it.
-
Step 4
Finish by gently blending imperfections in your blush or foundation, and then sweep the brush over your entire face, covering evenly. Once you have finished your application of finishing powder, you are ready to begin adding metallic makeup to your eyes.
