Metallic makeup is a great way to get a stunning and unforgettable look, whether for a special occasion or for your everyday look. If you have ever wondered how celebrities get and keep that freshly applied makeup look all day long, wonder no longer. A few tips will teach you how to apply eye shadow primer that will help your metallic makeup hold for hours.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Apply your eye shadow primer once your makeup base is finished. At this point, you should have applied foundation primer and foundation powder to a clean face, finished your blush, set everything with a finishing powder and added highlights with metallic platinum-infused powder.

  2. Step 2

Place a small dab of your eye shadow primer on the back of your hand. Eye shadow primer is generally translucent and comes in a small tube with a soft stick, similar to lip gloss. You need only a very small amount of primer to get the job done.

  3. Step 3

Dip a finger into the primer and apply it smoothly and evenly to your entire eyelid. Eye shadow primer will not only help your shadow last longer but also help to prevent the shadow from gathering in the creases of your eyelids during the day. It will also allow your metallic eye shadow to go on smoothly and easily, helping you to blend various colors effortlessly.

  4. Step 4

Make sure that you apply primer to all parts of your eyelid where you will be applying eye shadow, from the eyelashes to the eyebrow and out to the edges of the lid. Massage the primer gently into your lids until fully absorbed. You are now ready to apply your metallic shadow.
