How to Edit Letters in Comic Life
Comic Life provides artists with several different text tools. In addition to standard comic balloons and caption boxes, the lettering object can literally add "Pizazz" to any comic panel. With a mouse click or two, you can twist, distort and paint your lettering into any shape and color.

1
Drag a lettering object onto any panel. Comic Life stores a variety of objects in the elements well at the bottom of the window. Elements include speech balloons, captions and display lettering. As soon as the lettering object drops into place, Comic Life displays opens a text edit window.
-
2
Type your effect text. Comic Life highlights the text for editing as soon as the window opens. The lettering will be displayed in Comic Life's default lettering font.

3
Click the "Change Font" button to apply a different typeface. A text window will appear, with fonts, sizes and styles. Select the new font. Style and size aren't as important because you will override them with Comic Life styles.
-
4
Select "Place Lettering" when you're satisfied with your text. The lettering will drop into the panel you dragged it over, styled with a gradient fill and multiple outlines.
-
5
Change the style with the "Style" icon in the toolbar. You can also modify specific style characteristics by clicking on the "Details" button in the attributes panel. You will be able to change the gradient, outline and shadow.

6
Drag the blue resize handles at each corner to stretch the lettering. Pulling the handles at the top and bottom warps the text. Click on the lettering to show the regular green handles. Double-click to open the text window and get the blue handles back.
-
7
Rotate lettering with the purple arrow around the object center. You can move an object simply by clicking and dragging.
