How to Add to a Poser Software Library

Poser is a 3-D character program. Although it comes with many figures and props, Poser's greatest strength is its third-party vendor support. Several vendors like Daz3D, Poser World and Renderosity increase the software's value. Poser makes it easy to add new content to the program.

Instructions

  1. Add Item From Content Paradise

    • 1

Start Poser and click on the "Content" tab. If the Content Paradise website does not load on this screen, click "Reset Content Paradise." The website will load in this tab.

    • 2

Purchase your new Poser content. A digital invoice displays transaction details. Select the download link on the right side of the screen. After the file has downloaded, the Install Options window appears.

    • 3

Select "Install," and Poser expertly places all files.

Add Content From Other Third-Party Vendors

    • 4

Select "Content" tab and choose the "Install From ZIP Archive" button.

    • 5

Navigate to your "Download Poser" directory. Choose the file to add to Poser.

    • 6

Select "Open" and choose "Install" at the next window. The new content is now available for use.

    • 7

Check the zip file before allowing Poser to install files. If the zip file does not contain folders, install it and go to the next section.

    Moving Poser Library Files

    • 8

Double-click on the new Poser content. It will load into the Preview window. Poser has several libraries; choose the "Library Category" for your new content.

    • 9

Double-click to open a subdirectory. A "+" is at the bottom of the slide tab.

    • 10

Click on the "+" to add the new content, and name the content when you get the prompt.
