Instructions

    • 1

Locate the jack, which is usually in a compartment behind the seats of a truck. Place the jack under the side of the truck and begin to lift the truck.

    • 2

Lift the truck to a height that allows you to comfortably get in front of the tire you are removing. Lock the jack before you proceed any further.

    • 3

Take the small pry bar, put it behind the hubcap and apply pressure. This should make the hubcap pop right off. Set the hubcap aside but in close reach.

    • 4

Take the four-way wrench and put it on one of the lug nuts. Turn the wrench in a counterclockwise motion. The lug nuts are usually on very tight, so you may need to find a position that lets you apply as much pressure as possible.

    • 5

Loosen the lug nut and remove it. Place it in the hubcap so it doesn't get lost in the garage or in the grass. Continue removing the lug nuts until they are all off. At this point, you can safely remove your truck tire.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure your truck is turned off and in park before jacking up the truck.

  • Inspect the jack to make sure it is locked once the truck is jacked up.
