Bows add elegance and polish to any arrangement. Choose ribbon in a color that matches the room in which the arrangement will be placed, or match the ribbon to the flower color. Or be creative with color, using red bows in an arrangement of greenery for Christmas, or one color for the flowers and another for the ribbon to represent a favorite sports team.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ribbon (wired recommended)
  • Small length of fine-weight wire
  1. Step 1

Hold the ribbon between your thumb and forefinger, about 6 inches from the end of the ribbon.

  2. Step 2

Keep the right side of the ribbon facing up and form a loop to one side. Hold the ribbon between your thumb and forefinger again. Twist the ribbon until it is right-side up and form the same size loop on the other side, ending once again by holding the ribbon between your thumb and forefinger.

  3. Step 3

Repeat Step 2 three times, making three sets of loops, each smaller than the preceding loop.

  4. Step 4

Form one small loop in the center, over your thumb.

  5. Step 5

Insert the wire through the center of the smallest loop and twist the ends of the wire under the bow tightly.

  6. Step 6

Fluff out the loops and straighten the tails, making sure the right side of the ribbon is facing out.
