Flowers liven up any room, a trick learned by many home decorating enthusiasts. Deciding on the right flower arrangements is not only a matter of knowledge about flowers but also an intuitive understanding of what will work for a given event or space. Picking an arrangement can be frustrating, so learn to pick a great flower arrangements for any occasion or space.

  1. Step 1

    Write down the basic facts about the occasion. Pay special attention to the time of day of the occasion, whether it's a wedding, a brunch, a kid's party or a wedding shower. Take into consideration the time of year, whether it is spring, summer, fall, warm, or cool outside. If it's a wedding, also take into account the bride and bridesmaid's dress colors and the wedding theme colors.
