Things You'll Need:
- A clean sponge
- A pair of rubber gloves
- A multipurpose cleaner
-
Step 1
Squirt some of the multipurpose cleaner (that has the ability to cut through grease) on the clean sponge. Squirting the cleaner directly into the microwave could cause problems because it could get into one of the many vents inside the microwave.
-
Step 2
Wipe the inside of the microwave with the sponge. Wipe the floor, the walls and the top part of the microwave well.
-
Step 3
Rub your finger over the area with where the grease was located. If it squeaks when you rub your finger, then the grease is gone. However, if your finger slides over the area without making a sound, the grease is still there and you should wipe it again with the sponge.
-
Step 4
Use the sponge with multipurpose cleaner on it on the inside of the microwave door. Wipe it thoroughly, then check it will your finger to see all of the grease is off of the door.
-
Step 5
Rinse the sponge in warm water to remove the multipurpose cleaner, then pass the wet sponge one more time throughout the microwave to clean up any residue that you may have left behind from the sponge.
