Step 1
Begin with the basic Cha Cha step leading into the right turn. Step out slightly with your right foot on "1" to begin with the left on "2." Step left forward on "2," right forward on "3," cha-cha-cha left-right-left quickly on "4-and-1." Step right back on "2," left back on "3," cha-cha-cha right-left-right quickly on "4 and 1."
-
Step 2
Step forward on your left foot on "2" to begin the right turn. Pivot on your heel on "3," turning over your right shoulder to face the back. Cha-cha-cha left-right-left on "4-and-1," turning slightly with each step to end facing front again.
-
Step 3
Step back with your right foot on "2" and step back with your left foot on "3." Cha-cha-cha right-left-right on "4-and-1" to finish the right turn step and move into the next step.
-
Step 4
Repeat the right turn step, adding hip and arms movements from the basic Cha Cha step. This Latin dance is sensual and free-flowing, so keep your body loose while engaging your muscles to keep your body elongated and professional-looking on the dance floor.
-
Step 5
Practice Cha Cha right turns with a partner or continue to dance alone. Dance in front of a mirror or video camera so you can review whether you're moving correctly or incorrectly so you can perfect the steps.
