Being able to juggle two balls in one hand is a valuable skill for any juggler to learn. It not only looks cool on its own, but it lays down a solid foundation for four-ball juggling, which is the first step toward mastering new and advanced techniques. There are a few different ways to keep two balls up with one hand, but they're all straightforward and easy to learn.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold two medium-sized juggling balls in one of your hands. You can juggle with whatever objects you like, but balls and bean bags are the easiest to control.

  2. Step 2

Practice the basic two-ball motion by moving your throwing arm in a circle. Most jugglers prefer moving their arm in a clockwise direction, which produces an outward-flowing arc.

  3. Step 3

Continue the arm motion and toss the first ball into the air. Make sure it has the right trajectory to land in your hand after you toss the next one.

  4. Step 4

Release the second ball at the same point on your arm's circular path as you released the first.

  5. Step 5

Catch the first ball, then quickly throw it back into the air.

  6. Step 6

Grab the second ball after tossing the first one. Repeat this pattern of catching and throwing until you drop one of the balls.

  7. Step 7

Give the "columns" two-ball technique a shot after getting used to the circular technique. Instead of throwing the balls along an arc, toss each one straight into the air along its own vertical path.
