This relatively simple Solitaire game focuses on the matching of pairs rather than on suits or order of cards. It's a good game for young players and has a relatively high win rate. Children may need a little help with the set up, but after a quick explanation of the rules, they tend to be fully engaged by this game.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Remove the jokers and shuffle a standard deck of cards.

  2. Step 2

Deal out the cards in three rows of four each. Create 12 piles of cards three deep, all face down. Deal a final card face up to each of the 12 piles. Set the remaining four "reserve" cards to the side.

  3. Step 3

Identify pairs of cards showing on the board. Remove each pair and set it aside. Turn over the card just beneath the removed card.

  4. Step 4

Continue play, removing pairs of cards. Turn over the next card each time so that 12 cards are showing for each round of play.

  5. Step 5

Take a card from the four reserve cards and use it to fill up a hole on the board as more cards are removed. Set the reserve card into the space face up so that 12 cards are available for play each time until the majority of the cards are pulled.

  6. Step 6

Pull matching pairs off the board until all the reserve cards have been used and no more matches remain.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pull only matching pairs off the board. Don't pull three-of-a-kind off the board, even if the cards are showing at the same time.
