Step 1
Read through the rule book to decide on the scenario you are going to use. This will also help you decide how to set up the basic game, including the characters to use, the terrain to build and the outcome, or goal, of the game. The basic games are all for two players only.
-
Step 2
Understand the moving options for each character. Most of the characters have six moves, which means they can each move up to six tiles. You want to plan the movements in a strategic way to prepare for an offensive or defensive attack.
-
Step 3
Decide on the spaces you are targeting to move your characters to and move them in a staggered fashion to end up there. For example, if you are moving three characters to form a blockage on the edge of your terrain, move one to the border, then move another in a staggered way to end up next to the first character and repeat the same for the third character.
-
Step 4
Anticipate your opponent's movements by watching for the options they have and what they have a tendency to do in both offensive and defensive positions. Guessing what your opponent is going to do may help you decide on your best plan of attack.
