HeroScape combines the strategy and depth of a typical wargame with the easy set-up and clean-up of a board game. HeroScape centers around combat between opposing armies, both with multiple attackers (squads) and single attackers (heroes).

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide which figures will be moving. Depending on the situation, it won't always be necessary (or wise) to move an entire squad. If two figures can do the job and return safely, move them alone.

  2. Step 2

Move the figure furthest from your target first. This makes the figure with the fewest options arrive first and sets up better positioning for the rest of your squad.

  3. Step 3

Attack with the first member of your squad and your opponent will defend; then move to the second member and so on through all of your pieces.

  4. Step 4

Devise an exit strategy before engaging your opponent. If the dice go horribly wrong and your force is weakened, have a plan for getting the squad back into a safer spot.
