Cleaning out a home is often a long and tedious process but it doesn't have to be. Get your friends involved and have fun. Get rid of trash, remove the clutter and clean out your home while enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Get rid of trash with a recycled crafts event. Invite your friends and family over for a day of making recycled crafts. Clean out your home and put your old newspapers, magazines, boxes, jars and containers to good use. Find fun recycled craft projects at Make Stuff and Thrifty Fun (see links in Resources below).
Step2
Reduce your clutter with a reverse house warming party. Invite friends and family over but tell them not to bring a thing. Instead, have them take useful household items home at the end of a party. You may no longer need a certain item but it might be just the thing your best friend needs.
Step3
De-clutter by helping others. Organize a charity rummage sale. Enlist your friends and family to help you with this worthy cause. Gather up your unneeded household items and have your friends do the same. Host the rummage sale and donate the proceeds to the charity of your choice.
Step4
Recruit your friends or family to join a home cleaning co-op. It's a great reason to stay connected and get together frequently. Devise a schedule to get together and help clean each member's home. Hold co-op meetings once a month to tackle one home at a time. All members help out and all members benefit.
