How to Bake Christmas Cookies for Santa

Everyone knows the key to getting on Santa's good side is leaving him a plate full of delicious cookies on Christmas Eve. Generations of families have taken part in this time-honored tradition of baking cookies for Santa. Whether you have been naughty or nice, you are sure to score big points by following these steps to make massive chocolate chip cookies for Santa.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cookie sheet
  • Cooking spray or butter
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula
  • Cooking rack
  1. Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease your cookie sheets with cooking spray or butter.

  2. Step 2

    Measure your dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Stir in butter and vanilla, then beat until smooth and creamy.

  4. Step 4

    Incorporate one egg at a time into the mixture.

  5. Step 5

    Add the flour a little at a time to avoid lumps forming.

  6. Step 6

    Mix in chocolate chips.

    Heap several spoonfuls of cookie dough on cookie sheets to make large cookies. Leave several inches of space between cookies so they can spread as they bake.

Tips & Warnings
