Things You'll Need:
- Cookie sheet
- Cooking spray or butter
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon
- Measuring cup
- Measuring spoons
- Spatula
- Cooking rack

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease your cookie sheets with cooking spray or butter.

Measure your dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

Stir in butter and vanilla, then beat until smooth and creamy.

Incorporate one egg at a time into the mixture.

Add the flour a little at a time to avoid lumps forming.

Mix in chocolate chips.

Heap several spoonfuls of cookie dough on cookie sheets to make large cookies. Leave several inches of space between cookies so they can spread as they bake.

Bake cookies at least 11 minutes. The outside edges should be slightly brown.

Remove from oven and let sit a few minutes before using a spatula to place the cookies on a cooling rack.
