    Instructions

      • 1

Mix your milkshake in a blender or in a milk shake blender.

      • 2

Pour the milkshake into a tall glass specifically designed for milk shakes or a high ball glass. If there's leftover milkshake, leave it off to the side. You can add it to the milkshake glass later after it's been drunk down. If you're traveling, pour it into a disposable insulated cup.

      • 3

Add a long straw. Colored straws or straws with stripes are a big plus.

      • 4

Squeeze or spoon some whipped cream on top. The higher the quality whipped cream, the better your milkshake will taste.

      • 5

Sprinkle some colored sprinkles on the top for an extra special treat. If it's a chocolate or a mint milkshake add chocolate shavings or sprinkles.

      • 6

Garnish with a something appropriate to the flavor of milkshake. If it's a mint milkshake, try a sprig of mint. If it's an Oreo shake, jam an Oreo onto the rim of the glass. Fruit milkshakes like strawberry or banana get a real strawberry or banana on the rim of the glass. Other fun garnishes include cherries, licorice sticks, candy and real ice cream.
